My Story

Evening Appointments Available. Online and In-Person. Works with individuals, couples, families, and children (ages 6+) experiencing overwhelming emotions, self-esteem concerns, and stress related to military life.

I’m Julia, and I work with individuals, couples, and families facing layered and complex challenges leading to overwhelming emotions and conflict within relationships. Many of my clients have a long history of traumatic experiences and painful family dynamics which leaves them feeling anxious, depressed, and like they aren’t getting their needs met.

Working with me involves using culturally sensitive and strengths based approaches to help promote healing and personal growth. With me, you can express yourself without judgement, and I’ll help you understand how your environment is influencing your emotional experiences. Ultimately, I’ll help you process through the pain, going at a pace that is comfortable for you, to help you address life challenges while also getting your needs met.

A Fun Fact About Me: I have a deep appreciation for diverse cultural traditions and find inspiration in exploring the world through travel and food. I also enjoy being outdoors to reconnect with nature, which helps me feel grounded and more present in my work.

Clarification About Insurance & Tricare Certified OON:

Julia is working under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Polinsky as well as Dr. Arlene Malone. When submitting superbills to Tricare, you will need to submit Dr. Elizabeth Polinsky’s information; this will be the case whether you are seeing Julia for individual, couple, or family therapy.

If you are active duty and do not have Tricare Select, Julia offers a 20% military discount off her standard private pay rate.

Sliding Scale:

Julia accepts 10% of her caseload on a sliding scale basis through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective ($70 for individual counseling and $80 for couple or family therapy).
